The Atlanta Gallifreyans meeting for this upcoming Saturday, the 15th, has been cancelled, due to weather and scheduling conflicts.

We're hoping to re-schedule for Jan. 29th, but we won't know for a few days yet.

What's with all the spam in this group lately? I haven't seen any non-spam posts at all.

Here's my attempt to increase the Signal to Noise Ratio!

What are your plans between now and Dragoncon? Anyone preparing a "halfway to dragoncon" party?

Anyone going to the Atlanta Comic Con (aka the Wizard World convention) this weekend?

Just a quick reminder for everyone who is attending Dragoncon, that if you want to march in the Saturday morning parade group of the Prydon Academy (a costuming group for Doctor Who, Torchwood, and The Sarah Jane Adventures, please join the forum over here:

http://www.prydonacademy.com/forum/

The forum is free to all; you do need a login and password, and these are sent out as soon as you sign up. :)

Then find the Dragoncon forum, and post in the various threads.

Parade ribbons will be given out at the pre-parade meet-up. Don't forget that you must wear your Dragoncon badge to march in the parade.

After the parade ends, the group has a photo-shoot (location posted over at the forum). Photographers welcome, and even if you can't or don't want to march in the parade, you're welcome to show up in costume to be part of the photo-shoot. :)

There's also the Brittrack costume panel that a lot of PA members attend. The official D*C schedule isn't up at the time of my writing this post, but I have been told that it will be sometimes Saturday afternoon.

Also, many PA members go out to eat as a group on Saturday evening. :)

Much more info at the PA forum!

I've also posted some basic con tips and some specific to Dragoncon over on the dragoncon community.

The first set is here:

The second set is here:

These con tips include some costuming and sewing kit tips. :)

See everyone at the con! :)

And one more news item: Sophie Aldred is coming to TimeGate 2011! More info here:
http://www.timegatecon.org
There's a special ticket price of only $25 for a full membership, good only through the end of Dragoncon (i.e., Sept. 6th).

Hi Atlanta residents, I need your assistance!
If I wanted to watch 'Four Days at Dragon*Con' (http://www.facebook.com/DragonConPBS?filter=2) in my hotel room Thursday before (or what a lot call the start of) Dragon*Con on PBA30, what channel is that?
